Paris Fashion Week Report: Mugler, Gareth Pugh, Balenciaga, Anthony Vaccarello, Rochas, Dries Van Noten

Per questo Autunno-Inverno Nicolas Ghesquière crea Balenciaga Inc. "We imagined this Balenciaga Inc. company and then we started to identify the functions the staff have and the clothes they would wear - the space-age sweatshirt girls were the spies infiltrating the company" ha detto il direttore creativo. Balenciaga negli anni '80. "There is such a precision about what he does and there's no detail he hasn't worked on until it's so refined and cool, beautiful and tough," ha detto Emily Fields (Vogue) dopo lo show. "He really has refined a look but you can always tell it's him - it really is the cut and the quality of the lines."

Anthony Vaccarello
Between blue navy, gold, black and forest green Anthony Vaccarello creates a sexy woman that seduces through clothes that shows skin and an interpretation of some pieces of men's wardrobe.

Dries Van Noten
Mix of prints and mentions for Dries Van Noten. The woman and the man, Orient and Occident. The Anversa designer with jaquard and silk reinterprets some of japanese and chinese prints and he creates a sophisticated  woman.

Rochas

The Rochas collection goes through the ages. '70s and '50s, luxe becomes day-wear. Marco Zannini , inspired by a lot of influences, makes a trip in '50s mother wardrobe, between  prints and colors.

Gareth Pugh
Gareth Pugh's world  is distinct and dark. The english designer never says no to black and sculpted clothes but in this collection he shows a sort of opening, everybody have to enter in his world. So woman become a bird, a bat, a Pugh's creature.

Therry Mugler
Continue to Nicola Formichetti the limelight and the reinterpretation of a designer who has made the history of '80. Starting point is the Therry Mugler 1997 "Insects" collection, sculpted and exaggerate forms, the point of arrival is a mention to Orient and Martial Arts.

I found Balenciaga to be quite interesting as it seems that Nicolas went outside his comfort zone- but I do think that my favourite thus far may be Haider Ackermann
